SuperEnduro 2026 Round 1 Results: Billy Bolt Dominates in Poland! (2026)

The 2026 SuperEnduro season roared to life in Gliwice, Poland, with Billy Bolt dominating the competition, but not without a fight! This opening round was packed with excitement, drama, and unexpected twists, setting the stage for a thrilling year of indoor motorcycle racing. Let's dive into the details!

A Season of High Expectations:

The anticipation was palpable. We had the reigning champion gunning for his sixth title, the newly crowned AMA EnduroCross champion, and world champions from EnduroGP and Hard Enduro all vying for glory. Electric bikes were entering their second season, and the Brightmore brothers were continuing their meteoric rise.

The Arena and the Track:

The PreZero Arena, located about an hour from Krakow, was a hive of activity, hosting a track that delivered some fantastic racing across all classes. Nearly 100 riders took to the track, and despite some complaints about grip, the course held up remarkably well.

Qualifying and SuperPole:

During practice and qualifying, Jonny Walker looked incredibly focused. However, Billy Bolt made some uncharacteristic errors. But when it mattered most, in SuperPole, Bolt delivered, securing the top spot ahead of Mitch and Ash Brightmore, Eddie Karlsson, and Josep Garcia. Walker's mistake in the final technical turns, however, relegated him to the last position of the SuperPole riders, a mistake that would impact the rest of his night.

Moto 1: Bolt's Dominance:

Bolt wasted no time asserting his authority. With an aggressive start in moto one, he took the lead by the second turn and controlled the race from the front. Behind him, a fierce battle unfolded between the Brightmore brothers and Walker, who had to fight his way through the pack after being pushed wide in the first turn chaos.

The battle for third went down to the wire. Walker and Ash Brightmore clashed repeatedly, with Walker block passing and then dropping his bike. Ash Brightmore took third, allowing Eddie Karlsson to slip through as well, leaving Walker in fifth.

Moto 2: Walker's Triumph:

Diogo Vieira took advantage of the reverse-grid start, leading from the front row while the field sorted itself out. Walker charged from the back, making impressive overtakes on the opening lap, and took the lead by lap three. Bolt followed Walker into second and began to close the gap before a crash after missing his rear brake opened a gap he couldn't recover. Walker took the win.

The fight for third again involved Karlsson and the Brightmores, with Ashton making the decisive pass on the Stark rider mid-race for another podium finish.

Moto 3: Bolt Seals the Deal:

Bolt grabbed the holeshot again in the final race, but the win wasn't as comfortable as it looked. Walker, still hampered by a poor gate pick, steadily closed the gap. Bolt admitted he eased off slightly, suggesting that another lap could have changed the outcome. Ultimately, Bolt secured the overall victory, with Walker's consistent 5-1-2 scorecard earning him second place overall.

Controversy Alert: A podium spot appeared to be destined for one of the Brightmore brothers until Ashton crashed into his brother, Ash, on the opening lap of the final moto. This incident knocked Ash out of the race and left Mitch scrambling from dead last. Eddie Karlsson took advantage, claiming his first SuperEnduro overall podium and a landmark result for Stark.

Prestige Class Overall Results:

  • Junior Class: Milan Schmuser dominated, securing a comfortable win in moto one and charging through the field to win moto two. He completed the set with another victory in moto three. Ramon Godino and Toby Shaw completed the Junior podium.
  • Youth Class: Wojtek Walczak was the standout Youth rider, taking the overall victory with a 1-3 scorecard. Luca Kropitsch finished second, and Conor Watson took third.
  • European Class: Rieju rider Eric Miguel controlled the European Championship with two convincing moto wins. Mark Szoke and Alessandro Azzalini completed the podium.
