A shocking story has emerged, leaving an elderly man feeling like a 'dead man walking.' Mkhulu Jacob Makhalimele, aged 85, has become a victim of a heartless scheme orchestrated by his own granddaughter, Dipuo Mofokeng-Wright. The alleged fraud involves a fake death certificate and a burial society payout, leaving the family in disbelief.
Mkhulu Jacob, who is very much alive and in good health, has taken legal action against his granddaughter. He feels betrayed and shocked by her actions, stating, 'She must be arrested.' The burial society, unaware of the deception, paid out R9000 based on the fraudulent death certificate.
But here's where it gets controversial... The plot was uncovered when Tshepo Wright, Dipuo's husband and Mkhulu's son-in-law, was approached by a fellow society member with a strange question. Tshepo, suspicious and concerned, took immediate action, leading to the discovery of the fake certificate. He is now terrified of his wife's desperation, fearing for his own safety.
Tshepo claims that Dipuo's 'greed for money' is uncontrollable, and he suspects she may have targeted others as well. He believes she has been taking advantage of his name to borrow money from loan sharks. Dipuo, when contacted, tried to minimize the incident, but in a separate interview, she admitted to purchasing the fake certificate, expressing regret. However, she also implicated her husband, an accusation he strongly refutes.
Mkhulu Jacob is heartbroken and feels betrayed by his own family. He has opened a case of fraud, and the police are investigating. Home Affairs has advised him to make an affidavit and cooperate with the authorities. This story raises questions about family dynamics, trust, and the lengths some individuals may go to for financial gain. What do you think?
