Get ready for a thrilling update, because Death Stranding 2: On The Beach might be making its way to PC sooner than anyone anticipated!
The original Death Stranding, which launched exclusively on PlayStation 4 in 2019, later made its way to PC in 2020. The Director's Cut edition, released for PlayStation 5 users in 2021, finally reached PC gamers in 2022. And now, the highly anticipated sequel, Death Stranding 2: On The Beach, which was initially a PlayStation exclusive, seems to be getting a PC release.
Here's the juicy part: the Entertainment Software Ratings Board (ESRB) briefly updated their website with details about the PC edition of Death Stranding 2, but the leak was quickly removed. However, not before fans spread the news like wildfire on social media.
It's speculated that an official announcement could be just around the corner, possibly at The Game Awards on December 11. But here's where it gets controversial: Xbox gamers might have to wait a while, as the original game's Xbox release came a full five years after its initial launch.
And this is the part most people miss: creator Hideo Kojima has revealed plans for a third Death Stranding game, but he's not planning to direct it himself. He believes someone else could make it happen. Kojima is currently working on a big-screen adaptation of Death Stranding with A24, but he's taking a hands-off approach, trusting the professionals to do their thing.
Kojima is also collaborating with horror maestro Jordan Peele on a new game and has announced plans for a stealth game, codenamed Physint, which is expected to release in 2030. Additionally, an anime adaptation of Death Stranding is in the works at Disney+, expanding the dystopian world even further.
So, are you excited for the potential PC release of Death Stranding 2? And what do you think about Kojima's hands-off approach to his projects? Let's discuss in the comments!
